After the paper has been accepted for publication, authors are obligated to provide the completed "Copyright Transfer Form" for signature and submission. A publishing agreement between the author and  Journal of Biological Studies establishes this. Potentially included among these are the rights to communicate, distribute, and publish online. The Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY), which is utilized by  Journal of Biological Studies, is among the most permissive CC licenses when it comes to publishing scientific articles. The authors retain the copyright for any open access articles published in journals affiliated with  Journal of Biological Studies.
